Blindfolded Butterfly

16 Nov Blindfolded Butterfly

The sound of her name makes me blush

To take my time, slow down and not rush

To smell the roses and savor the day

To stay where I am and not run away

To hear her laughing an umbrella in the rain

Coal for my engine or some bleach for a stain

It tickles my heart and makes me smile

Like a mothers loving hug to comfort her child

Her snuggles are warming and soft like a bear

Giving a drowning person a lung full of air

A ticket for a ride to the worlds best sleep

A little something for a starving heart to eat

The gentle way she looks into my eyes

Welled up with tears not ready to cry

Vibrating with my soul the perfect note

A juicy kiss living in a sweet envelope

Chained up to passion a magical way

Bruises do last but slowly go away

The peeks of the range glisten with snow

Blind folded down the path we easily go

Her eyes lit up with the fire of the sun

In that amazing moment: I’m the only one

A spark of light, a candle in the dark

More soothing and peaceful than an angelic harp

The sound of her name makes me blush

To take my time, slow down and not rush

To smell the roses and savor the day

Butterfly oh butterfly please don’t fly away
